Quest for Happiness: Week Thirteen

Definitely ready to get back on the grind after a busy (and unproductive) but enjoyable weekend. It’s getting to that point in the year where everything is about to get hectic and crazy, so self-care is going to be important. But so is productivity, which I haven’t been tonight, so this post is going to be “short,” comparatively speaking.

Fitness:

  • Long-term Goal: Shape the body I want and become healthier.
  • Last Week’s Goal: Workout four times.
    • Status: Partial! I worked out twice, so not too shabby!
  • This Week’s GoalComplete the first week in the Naturally Slim program.

Writing:

  • Long-term Goal: Edit three books, write four new books and query at least one.
  • Last Week’s Goal: Fix first chapter and first 50 pages.
    • Status: Almost! I did fix the first chapter and edited the first few chapters, but only reached around the page 30 mark. But I’m making more progress than I have in months, so I’m okay with that.
  • This Week’s Goal: Get halfway through Round One edits.

Reading:

  • Long-term Goal: Read 60 books.
  • Last Week’s Goal: Read every day.
    • Status: Success! 
  • This Week’s Goal: Finally finish The Desert Spear. 

Relaxation:

  • Long-term Goal: Create and maintain a mindset that taking care of yourself is just as important as everything else.
  • Last Week’s Goal: Help the Angara on both their planets.
    • Status: “Success.” Though I didn’t actually help the Angara on Voeld, I did play a hefty amount on Thursday, since work on my second job got canceled. So I definitely relaxed, which is the main goal.
  • This Week’s Goal: Keep playing Andromeda without guilt.

Blogging:

  • Long-term Goal: Increase output over all three blogs, i.e., post more consistently.
  • Last Week’s Goal: Catch up on friends’ blogs. Write one post.
    • Status: Sorta? I wrote two posts instead of one, but definitely did not catch up on blogs like I wanted to. So win some, lose some.
  • This Week’s Goal: Actually catch up on reading blogs.

Financial:

  • Long-term Goal: Manage money with more awareness, start retirement fund and build savings.
  • Last Week’s Goal: Calculate how much I still need to save in order to pay off London trip.
    • Status: Success.
  • This Week’s Goal: Don’t spend any unnecessary money. ANY.
