Quest for Discovery

Quest for Discovery: Week Forty Four

Hello, lovelies!

So, I’m in a little bit of a weird mood. I’ve been feeling blah most of the weekend, because I had to go get dental work done (i.e., the worst shit ever) so my mouth has been sore and bloody and gross, which has translated to two nights of really shitty sleep. Then, my stomach’s been messed up the past couple of days, too (I think because my period is about to start? Who knows, at this point), so I’m just a bit all over the place.

BUT, this weekend is going to be killer. Read below to find out why!

PB4Writing
Long-Term Goal: Write two new books and edit two books. Enter the query trenches.

Last Week’s Goal: No goals.

  • Status: Negative, Commander. I didn’t write as much as I wanted to last week, but I did have two really killer sessions that almost makes up for not editing as much? I’m hoping to really buckle down here soon, though, and start getting edits to soar.

Weekly Goal: Edit 5x.

Reading
Long-Term Goal: Read every day, finishing up some old series and keeping up with new ones.

Last Week’s Goal: No goals.

  • Status: Affirmative, Commander. It’s really hard trying to not ignore every and all other responsibilities in favor of just binging McClellan’s books, honestly. And this book isn’t holding anything back…

Weekly Goal: Read every day and post review.

Fitness
Long-Term Goal: Continue living a healthy lifestyle and shaping a body I love and am proud of.

Last Week’s Goal: No goals.

Status: Negative, Commander. I tried starting to do T-25 again last week and got through two great sessions, but then a couple things happened that derailed my usual routine before dental work has put all exercise on hold for the time being (prolly just this week). I hope to go through the program, though, over the winter and then get back to running in the spring. So we’ll see how it goes!

Weekly Goal: Eat well and don’t go too crazy with the Halloween candy.

Last Week’s Goals:

  • None.

Weekly Goals:

  • Blog 6x.
  • Practice Spanish daily.
  • Finish up work projects and supervisor training.
  • Finish October batch of books for SPFBO.
  • Get caught up on emails.
  • Pay bills.

So, why I am so excited for this weekend?

It’s my birthday!

*throws balloons*

I’m really excited for my birthday this year (although who am I kidding, I’m excited every year). While my actual birthday is on Saturday, Friday night, I’m getting together with some friends to go bowling and just hang out and have a good time (which I’m hoping will be a blast!). Then, on Saturday, I’m going to go down and see my family, before having a little date night with my man to go to the movies. It’s going to sound a little stupid and a little cheesy, but I’m excited to just spend the weekend with everyone I love and being celebrated, a little bit (how selfish does that sound)? And, with Halloween being a couple days before, for me, this week truly kicks off the holiday season for me, which is MY FAVORITE.

So, time to start the week off right and make it a productive and positive one, before partying it up (straight-edge style) this weekend!

Cheers.

  1. AHH HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! *sends all the cake* And I hope you feel much better for it.😭 Dentists are awful ugh. Also periods are awful too. ahgiagh sucks that it’s all happening at once!

And best of luck with the writing! I haven’t gotten anything done lately that I’ve really meant to oops. But good writing sessions are SUCH confidence boosters!

    1. AHHHHHHHHHH, thank you so much! I can’t believe I turn 26 on Saturday!? *dies* *eats all the cake first, though* I think dentist might be my least favorites doctors, honestly. I mean, the ones I go to are really nice, but it doesn’t make the process itself any more pleasant…

Thank you, I need it! Especially the emotions of the period (ugh), I’ve not been the most productive, but I’m hoping writing will be the one thing I’ll able to be productive on! Right?! I wish you the best on your writing, as well! ❤
