Library Tour: Part Three

Hello lovelies!

Welcome to Part Three of my Library Tour! The first post highlighted all my favorite Orbit books and shared an embarrassing amount of books unread. The second highlighted my Mass Market Paperbacks–my personal favorite medium to read in. Today, we’re going to highlight my third bookshelf, which I can only describe as…the disorganized chaos of everything else?

Again, as a reminder: I recognize that the ability to buy myself books, receive books as gifts and receive ARCs is a privilege I’m very lucky to have and not everyone does. I also believe you don’t need to own books or have a huge collection to be considered a “real” book blogger, as book bloggers take many shapes and forms! This is just something that I enjoy personally, so please, let’s keep the comments positive and supportive!

Let’s get to it!

Bookshelf No 2: Disorganized Chaos of Everything Else

This is the bookshelf that I attempted to organize into some sort of system, including each shelf being a different publisher and then going alphabetical or by series. But as I acquired more books or continued to find books that didn’t fit into Orbit’s bookshelf or wasn’t a mass market paperback, here it lies.

Hence, why it’s become so disorganized. Maybe one day, I’ll get another bookshelf and be able to spread these books out, but currently, they are just a mess.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t adore them or aren’t even more excited to read these books, hopefully in the near future *curses the reading slump that has been plaguing her for months, at this rate*

Some of my favorite books are on this shelf and I hope you spot some of your favorites, too! Or perhaps discover a new one, who knows! 🙂

Shelf One

This is a shelf that I’m really glad has grown so much and is so overflowing, because it’s one of my favorite shelves: my self-published shelf (like, 95% self-published, at any rate)!! Many of these books are still unread, currently, but that doesn’t mean I’m not so excited to read them. I mean, look at some of those names?! J.A. Andrews!? Dyrk Ashton!? Michael Sliter? A rare copy of We Lie in Death by Devin Madson??? Carol A. Park!? THE SWORD OF KAIGEN (still so stoked to read that here ASAP) by M.L. Wang. There are some GEMS on this shelf and I’m really excited to knock that unread total down a notch this year!

Shelf Two

Ah, this shelf is so special to me. It’s my Tor shelf, for one–a publisher I really need to read more books from. But it also houses my The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica series by James A. Owen, one of my favorite series OF ALL TIME (even if I haven’t read the last three books, shush). It also has the trilogy by Evie Manieri that I can’t wait to reread this year, since I haven’t read the last book, The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons which I ADORED, A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, which I should have read 1,000 years ago…so many good books, so little time.

Shelf Three

My Titan bookshelf is top notch, let me tell you. G.S. Denning’s Warlock Holmes series is one of my favorites. Christopher Husberg is writing on a whole ‘nother level. Tim Akers! R.S. Ford! The Rig by Roger Levy! Gareth L. Powell! Time Shards by Dana Fredsti and David Fitzgerald! There are some gems here, loves, and I’m excited read those that remain unread.

Shelf Four

This is where my bookshelf gets a little more wonky, organizational wise, but there are some gems here. My Jim Butcher hardbacks (another author I hope to own all of his books, one day, since I checked out most of them from my public library growing up). Patrick Rothfuss! Waypoint Kangaroo, from Curtis C. Chen, one of my favorites.

Shelf Five

And some more randoms. Some Tamora Pierce books from high school (one of my ultimate goals is to own every single one of her books, because I adore her that much and then hopefully reread them with my one day future daughter?!). A lot of books I’ve gotten as gifts, so I’m really excited to read them!

A nice mix of books unread and read. It’s an eclectic shelf, but I’m still really excited about all of these books and hope to continue reading and expanding more!

What about you? Do you like to collect books physically? Own any of these or want to read them? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Of course as you know I adore collecting books. So meaning of mine go unread, but hoping to change that this year!

Really enjoyed this series, it was a lot more fun then I thought it would be to read about a person’s bookshelf 🤣. Thanks for the share!
