Welcome to Thoughts Stained With Ink. It’s a hodgepodge of a website, that’s for certain. The main thing, however, is that it’s a blog–or, what I call, my outlet. Here, you’ll find anything you could’ve possibly wanted penned by me (and perhaps a lot of things you didn’t care to read or know).
You’ve got random musings, from emotional drama to battles with anxiety and depression to what I thought of my latest adventure. You have reviews, but mostly the bookish kind (though I’ll occasionally post over films and video games, too). Those reviews are quirky, because I like to review the experience and how it made me feel, rather than center upon the more structural aspects, though those will pop up sometimes, too. Take book reviews, for example. This usually results in a lot of discussion over how a book kept me up until 2am. Or how I threw a book against the wall. Or how I slammed a book closed as I started embracing my inner sailor. You know, instead of talking about pacing or character development, like I prolly should. *shrugs*
Oh, and don’t forget: this blog will talk about my writing journey, a lot. Covering all facets of it: from doubt and first drafts to finished books, editing and hopefully, one day, publication.
Like I said: this blog is a hodgepodge of posts, but it’s my corner of the internet and it’s a good place to call home.
But if you came to this page, then you’re curious to learn about me.
What can I say? I’m a twenty-something writer who lives smack dab in the middle of the United States, with an eclectic range of tastes and hobbies. I write, read and blog, of course, but I also: panic fire in RPG video games; roll Rogues who fight like Barbarians (but die a lot more often) in DnD campaigns; run slow miles but lift heavier weights; sweat a lot when I’m filling in a new tattoo; am an amateur Tolkien Scholar; I’m obsessed with dragons, books, Lord of the Rings, dogs, cheese and well, food in general; am very close with my family and have the most amazing boyfriend imaginable; and I work as an Academic Advisor at a university to pay off my ridiculous amount in student loans.
If you want to continue to support me, you can do so by:
- Promoting (or even hiring me!) my freelance editing business
- Support me on Patreon
- Sign up for my newsletter
However, the fact that you’re reading my blog at all means the world. Any extra support is just…beyond what my brain can process and believe, honestly.
That’s me, in a nutshell.
So please, don’t be shy and come say hi! I can’t tell you how much it brightens my day to interact with people in the comments (especially when we’re gushing/ranting over books and shipping characters together).
