Another month down, another eventful time in the life of yours truly. In case you wanted some highlights, it comprised of:
- A friend coming over to my house for dinner and getting to host her for the first time!
- My 4-month old puppy eating a sock whole and having to go to the vet to get it removed.
- Attending a fundraising event for a new local literary festival to be held next year!
- My pupper eating a sock whole.
- Going to see my sister’s new house and having board game night!
- Getting accepted to present at MiddleMoot 2019!
- FINISHING BLOOD PRICE AND QUERYING IT.
On top of the usually programmed depression spirals and financial burdens and stresses, I’d say overall, this was a pretty solid month! I’m 1000% more excited for October (and fall weather; 95+ degree weather at the end of September, no thank you) and hopeful that some good change is on the horizon.

What I Posted
In this section, I like to share posts that I personally wrote this past month that I either really enjoyed writing, am really proud of or wish might have gotten a little more attention.
→ I wrote (yet) another rant about being tired, but in a financial way.
→ I also announced that I’ve “finished writing” my adult epic fantasy feminist novel Blood Price and have officially sent it off in the querying trenches, as well as shared some of my process around writing and editing the novel!
Posts I Enjoyed
Curious what blog posts I really enjoyed around the blogsophere this month? Check them out here:
→ Kelly @ Another Book in the Wall shares her tips on fitting blogging into a busy lifestyle!
→ Annemieke @ A Dance with Books shares a really fascinating post about where to draw the line between problematic authors and their books.
→ Caitlin @ Realms of My Mind shares what got her into self-published fantasy and some recs that are currently destroying her TBR!
→ Chuck Wendig @ TerribleMinds talks about That Article and shares some really great insight on publishing and finances!
→ Cristina @ Girl in the Pages discusses her revamped Goodreads organization system.
→ Annemieke @ A Dance with Books also shares a starter list of trigger warnings to use in your reviews!
→ Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books shares 8 thing you need to know about book blogging and is spot on about each one.
And that’s a wrap for this month! Even though it’s my absolutely favorite time of the year, now that we’ve practically reached October (these last three months are THE BEST), I am also really floored that we are only three months away from 2020. Eegak.
