I’ve been in a weird funk lately and reading has been the last priority, tbh. HOWEVER, I was able to get more reading done last month than I did in May (easy to do, since I didn’t read…anything…in May) so I am happy with that! Making this month’s reading TBR has excited me a little bit at the prospect of reading some of these books, so hopefully I’ll be able to read more than I have been recently! Perhaps use reading to help get me out of this funk, perhaps?

Books I Want to Read in July
Goal # Read: 4 Books
Books on this List: 4 books
The Harp of Kings by Juliet Marillier
I honestly don’t know much about this book, but I do know that I’ve heard great things about this author from other bloggers, so I’m excited!
Blood-Tainted Winter by T.L. Greylock
I’ve been meaning to read something from Greylock for a while now, so finally hoping to jump in on this popular self-published read.
Moonglow by Kristen Callihan
I won’t lie: all I’ve wanted to do is read this entire series after completing Firelight, but I felt I couldn’t neglect ARCs and other books to just binge. But, who’s to say that my resolve doesn’t continue to weaken…
The Mirror Empire by Kameron Hurley
I know, I cannot believe I haven’t read this yet, either. I have heard FANTASTIC things.

I’ve been focusing a lot of overdue ARCs (a constant in my life) but I think I want to focus this month on just reading some books for fun that excite me. Plus, all female authors? Yes, please. ๐
What about you? Any TBR plans for July? If you don’t make a reading TBR, what is a book you’re really excited about reading or one you just finished that made you feel things? Let me know in the comments!!

The Mirror Empire looks sooo cool, this cover is just beautiful! I’m trying to finish Rise of Empire and The Shadow Saint this month. Fingers cross!!
Right? That cover is freaking bomb. Ahhh, I still need to read The Shadow Saint, but I honestly need to read a recap of The Gutter Prayer, because it’s been a minute.
If I’m good, I’m FINALLY finishing the Spellslinger series!! And generally mood-reading and trying to not feel guilty about the one or two ARCs I’m behind on reviewing.๐ I need to give Mirror Empire a reread, I got through most of that well waiting overnight in a con line and…that is not a book to read while sleep deprived at 3am lol.
YAY. I am super intrigued to see what you think of the ending (especially since I really agreed with your review of the 5th book). But my friend, you are always so on top of ARCs and I miss those days. I am so bloody behind, but I have to remind myself that a review is still helpful, even if it’s posted…rather late.
HA, yes, I wouldn’t remember a book read in that environment, either!!
