Welcome back to my monthly reading TBR (to be read) list! I haven’t made one in a few months because I haven’t been reading at all, oops. But, I am very excited to participate in SciFiMonth for the first time, hosted by Lisa @ Dear Greek Place and Imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More. I’ve heard so many good things about this event, yet I always seem to remember it’s happening halfway through. Well, not this time!! And, of course, I’ve made a pretty ambitious reading list (especially considering I’ve been averaging zero-one book per month for the past two months). I have no true belief or inclination that I’ll actually read all of these books, but I sure hope to read one or two, at the very least!
So, let’s see what’s on my list!
Reading TBR
Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell: Honestly, all I know about this is that it’s gay and, even more honestly? All I needed to know.
Nophek Gloss by Essa Hansen: The first book I’m going to pick up and the one I definitely want to make sure I read. I’ve heard so many good things. With the sequel releasing soon, I need it.
A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers: Honestly, this year has been so shit, I think I just need to read all of Chambers’ catalog to feel better.
Chaos Vector by Megan E. O’Keefe: We all know I’m trash for the first book in this series, Velocity Weapon. Continuing this is long overdue.
Do You Dream of Terra-Two by Temi Oh: Honestly, I know nothing about this book, I just fell in love with the cover and the rest is history.
Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik: Ah, and now we get to the embarrassing part of my reading list, as we discover books that I really should have read by now. This is definitely one of them.
The Mirror Empire by Kameron Hurley: I haven’t read a Kameron Hurley book and I am just as ashamed as you are.
Starbreaker by Amanda Bouchet: I won’t lie: I wasn’t as enthralled with the first book in this series, Nightchaser, as I was Bouchet’s first romance trilogy. But, I still want to continue!
In Sum
So, in sum, I have a lot of books I want to read and I’m actually…excited to give it a shot? Who am I? Fingers crossed I can read something, if not multiple sometimes! Are you participating in SciFiMonth? Have you read any of the books above? Let me know in the comments and thanks for reading!
A lot of your picks are on my forever TBR! Polaris Rising, Winter’s Orbit, Do you Dream of Terra-Two, all look amazing. But I can recommend Chaos Vector and A Closed and Common Orbit!
I figured you would have either read or want to read most of these!!
That is a very good collection of books! Brb adding the ones I hadn’t heard of to by TBR… I look forward to seeing your thoughts on what you get through ๐
Right!? There are some pretty fantastic books here that I’m really hoping to get to! I hope you have an awesome month of reading!
Winter’s Orbit and A Closed and Common Orbit are awesome!
I am very excited to read both!!
Welcome to Sci-Fi Month!! I’ve been participating for years and it’s always been fun ๐
I have always heard so many amazing things, so I’m stoked to be participating! Thanks for the welcome, Louise!
